Read the Word Daily helps you read the Bible a little every day, at your own pace. Choose a translation, choose the books or chapters you want to read and the number of days, and the site divides the reading into even daily portions. Mark each day as read, see your progress and streak, and get a reminder each day by email or notification.

Readings are balanced by the number of verses, not chapters, so long and short chapters even out. Chapters are kept whole wherever possible. A very long chapter, such as Psalm 119, is split into parts only when that keeps the days even, or when there are more days than chapters.

You can build and try a plan without an account. Sign in with your email (we send a one-time code, so there's no password) to keep your plans and progress on all your devices and to turn on reminders. We only use your email to sign you in and to send the reminders you ask for.

All four translations used here are in the public domain. The wording is shown exactly as published.

A few verses found in the KJV are not in the BSB, WEB or ASV text (for example Matthew 17:21). Those translations follow older Greek manuscripts. They are noted where they would appear and are not counted in the daily totals.
